About the Author
Pastor Mike Preston
Mike is a pastor, author, podcaster, songwriter, speaker, mentor, and producer of musicals. Originally from Guernsey in the Channel Islands, Mike Preston accepted Christ at eight years old in an Elim church on the island and was baptized at thirteen. After a career in Banking, Mike fell seriously ill with M.E. (Myalgic encephalomyelitis, also known as chronic fatigue syndrome) at thirty. Following more than a year of suffering, he experienced a miraculous healing during a one Sunday morning service. Soon after, Mike was mentored by his pastor and became a bi-vocational pastor in Guernsey in 2003. He was ordained as an Elim minister in 2008 and left Guernsey in 2009 to pursue full-time ministry, eventually relocating to Scotland. At 64 years old, Mike is now retired continues to serve as a pastor at Home Church Scotland, one of the fastest growing churches in the country. Tragically, his wife Bev, who served alongside him, passed away from cancer in 2024. Mike resides in Scotland and has authored two books: “Extraordinary Moments in an Ordinary Life”(2022) and “Discipleship Reimagined” (2025).
